Emmanuelle always looks like she's talking business.

An astute observation, Michael, you are quite right.

I miss Christophe Decarnin!!! Whether it was Emanuelle Alt´s influence or not. Everybody gets his ideas from somewhere and: Even if she told him "do this" or "what do you think about that". He did the cuts, and they are i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e!!!!! Pants, blazers every single thing.
I recently read an interview with Karl Lagerfeld where he said that he does not talk about Balmain, because it is the work of a fashion editor and that he doesn´t know a Christophe Decarnin. Well, the only thing why Chanel still has money is because the huge amount of cosmetics and handbags. For sure, you don´t buy it for its clothing, or better said, for the quality of its clothing (plastic buttons!!). Couture may be a different thing, but we are talking ready-to-wear. In his wildest dreams, his stuff won´t sell as Balmain did from 2008-2010/11. What happened to his own collection?? Nobody ever cared for that. For ex., YSL was recognizable, so was Balmain (ok, I don´t compare YSL and Ch.D.....but still..). Chanel you only recognize because of the tweed and the bouclé, and this was Coco herself, not Karl! Sorry, had to get rid of that, you do not find anything about Decarnin in the internet and I hope that he will come back! I think people underestimate him. They just repeat what others say.Nobody has proof. Wouldn´t want to be a fashion designer nowadays. Creativity doesn´t count anymore.

"Emmanuelle always looks like she's talking business."

Excellent remark !

She can't talk creativity. She is not creative.

She can't talk fashion history. She is not learned.

What a damned tiring and boring person !

It just pathethic those people who judged her about her leadership of PV..just look what she done in the past! She started the Balmania trend of 2009 cause everybody embraced the 80's and M.J during that season. Well who'll forget her PV iconic editorial though not controversial as what Carine did but still very unforgettable. Also I thing Christophe Decarnin is in talks with Paco Rabane....

Can we that 2009 is the "past" ? Well, in fashion, may be ; )
