Emmanuelle Alt: Paris Fashion Week Looks

I have added photographs of Emmanuelle Alt at Paris Fashion Week to the photo gallery, let's take a peek at the sartorial choices of the new editor-in-chief for Vogue Paris on her home turf. I like the sage green button down paired with the worn denim jeans and navy blazer, casual but sharp. I especially love Emmanuelle's rosy cheeks against her white jacket at the Vogue Paris party, she is clearly flushed with excitement and perhaps a beverage or two. What do you think of Emmanuelle's looks for Paris Fashion Week so far?

There is a fantastic interview that Hillary Alexander did to Emmanuelle today @ the Telegraph, check it out!

Ok, I LIVE in jeans, so love her look...but...um, er...hello? you are the editor of Paris Vogue, what the hell! You represent a high fashion magazine. It looks like she's running errands. So unimpressive. She needs to step it up.

Ugh, I am already completely bored and uninspired by Ms. Alt. The editor of Vogue Paris needs to be a strong voice for fashion, not a whimper.

So true. What is going on here? Maybe she lost her luggage.

Thanks, Fernanda!

Cupcake, I have mixed feelings about what you say. On one hand, I agree that the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris should maintain a certain chic aura, particularly during Paris Fashion Week. Jeans aren't it. On the flip side, I think it is wonderful that Emmanuelle is natural and her look is accessible to everyone. I have never felt that I could put on anything that Carine Roitfeld wore, much as I loved it. I rarely see Emmanuelle wearing anything that I couldn't pull off (in my humble estimation). I guess my question is, do we want a VP EIC that we can admire from afar or that we can imitate close up?

Jane, sorry to hear you are not feeling the EA style. It is certainly more casual than Carine's style but also more in keeping with what is actually being worn on the streets.

Ha ha, Kate! But she lives in Paris, she could dash home for a change of clothing! Surely she couldn't have packed everything...
