Vogue Paris: Ondes Sensuelles

Vogue Paris: Ondes Sensuelles
By Heather Dunhill

Model Malgosia Bela is the ultimate poster girl for summer in the June issue of Vogue Paris in "Ondes Sensuelles." And, as the title suggests, it is indeed waves of sensuality throughout, a tribute to the soleil habitué.

As always, the styling by Géraldine Saglio is on the dot. It seems Saglio can do no wrong especially here and teamed with photographer Lachlan Bailey and Christelle Cocquet for makeup, Rudi Lewis for hair, and Huberte Cesarion for nails. I don’t know about you but I typically don’t see a byline for a nail artist, which drew my attention to Bela’s hands and feet — I’m so glad it did — her nails are a perfect complement in warm seashell pink. There’s something about this color against her ubiquitous bronzed skin, the shade looks as though it’s blended with a hint of tawny. Really fabulous!

Less is definitely not more on these pages. For the dog days, the summer siren is draped in adornments and subtle tones from her soft locks to turquoise contrasts to her ankle accoutrement, this is indeed how the French do luxe boho.

The neutral hues overall set the tone for this editorial, certainly unexpected with all the extreme colors that line the runways and racks these days. No doubt a pleasant reminder to be true to your Bohemian sensibility during the endless summer that is upon us.
