Emmanuelle Alt On Vogue Paris September 2011

Here is Emmanuelle Alt to describe the contents of the September issue of Vogue Paris for us, I have translated her remarks from the VP web site from French to English. I am excited to read the article about Lou Doillon and to learn more about the life of cover girl Charlotte Casiraghi, what do you think of Emmanuelle's September issue so far?

"This is the first time she posed for a magazine cover. She chose Vogue and Mario Testino." Emmanuelle Alt wrote in her editorial for the September issue of 2011. Three years after Stephanie of Monaco, who was seen in December 2008 under the lens of photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, it is the turn of another heir to the Grimaldi family to pose on the magazine cover. Horsewoman and new face of Gucci's equestrian line, Charlotte Casiraghi opens the doors of Rocher to her friend, Mario Testino. Honoring the French charm are intimate portraits of the greatest figures of French cinema, such as Lou Doillon, Valerie Lemercier, or Carole Bouquet. Throughout the pages, Vogue Paris decrypts the timeless elegance of the French woman and offers Tom Pecheux, Aaron de Mey, or Lloyd Simmonds to revisit its code through a colorful beauty series. As a bonus number, there is the additional children's Vogue Paris with all the trends of the season and the program for Vogue Fashion Night as well as looks for the event selected by the editors of the magazine. Vogue September 2011, No. 920, on newsstands August 22.

The 2nd photo to the last is very 90's Vogue..it mimicks the photography of Ellen Von Unwerth

Bernie, thanks for sharing my excitement! Your photo reference is spot on per usual.

It's very American Vogue!

I love the photograph with Kate Moss and the other model walking the dogs. Is that a current photo? It looks like it could have been taken years ago--I mean that in a good way...

That aint Kate Moss. It just look like her but aint that her! I wonder if it's inspired by Kate Moss early Vogue editorial.. Oh Well

I don't want to be rude but Emmanuelle Alt is almost semi-illiterate. Her interviews are so... dull. She has no vision and her sense of grammar is utterly funny. In a previous interview, she simply said she wanted to visiter des sacs à main.

How desperate she is !

Julianne
Hmm nice opinion but if you've translated some PV coverline they're very much like BV but sher magazine is more sedate compared to CR high glamour Vogue but thanks for your opinion

Ha ha to Bernie! You are so right! That model fooled me. ;)

Yes, Bernie. "Sedate" ; ) To say the least
19 août 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJulianne
@kate Yeah she is like baby Kate Moss lol
19 août 2011 | Unregistered Commenterbernie
Julianne Yeah I remember people used to react like that when the great Grace Mirabella replaced Diana Vreeland at Vogue. Lets just see if EA could also triple and double the magazines circulation and ad revenue. I think she just needs to hire a great creative and fashion director. Otherwise lets see what happen....

Is that sedate or sedated?

;-)

I must agree, Bernie, and add that we should monitor the magazine's circulation and ad revenue for results.

Just sedate cause.the magazine still has this cutting edge and sexy vibe..Sedated is for American Vogue :P. But i feel that this Charlotte issue will soar up the magazines empire state of $$

I can't wait for your longitudinal study of VP circulation too.

Beautiful and cutting-edge and colourful charts ; ) !
